Dear friend, on the 10th of December 2011, 1 Hope Ministries International will host 3 different "Birthday Partries for Jesus". A sure fun day where we get to educate the children on the birth of Christ. Many of these orphaned children have never received a gift before - and this year we would like to combine our "School Bag Project" with our "Christmas Box" project to create the "Educational Christmas Bag".We want to share the basic tools needed for school, along with a simple toy and basic necessities inside a new backpack.
We will go to 3 different venues for this day and we have set a target to collect 300 donated bags. Please help us to achieve this.
The venues as part of our Mercy Network for this project are Sasolburg, Modimille and Sunnyside.
Below is a list of things to include in your new school bag:
- Box of crayons Lunch box
- Box of markers Wash cloth
- Coloured pencils Toothpaste
- Glue stick Toothbrush
- Ruler Small toy
- Scissor Bible or bible story book
- Eraser
- Exam pad (2)
- Notebook
The estimated cost for filling a backpack (including the backpack) is around R230 - R300. You can build your own christmas bag and contact us to arrange for collection in the Gauteng area. Alternatively, you can donate the funds and reference "Chritmas bag" and we will purchase a bag on your behalf.
WHAT TO DO:
1. Purchase a School bag (backpack)
2. Fill the bag with the items above
3. Mark your box “boy” or “girl” and the appropriate age.
4. Deliver by 8 Dec. to any 1Hope member
5. Attach a note with your name and email so 1Hope can send you pictures of the "Birthday party for Jesus” where your gift will be given.
6. Pray for the children that the true hope, the GOSPEL of JESUS CHRIST, will be heard.
Please remember to attach a personal note (and picture) of you/your family.
